It's just really good fun to see characters develop on the page in front of me and set them in scenes which sometimes develop into stories ... Picture stories about people - big and small (mostly small); animals and the places where life happens ...

Pet Portraits

So ... pet portraits??? Yes! Much as I love creating characters, I also love the real thing at times - animals in particular. You will find a few cats in my portfolio, but you will also notice that my portraits are mainly of dogs.  That's partly down to the differences between some cat and dog owners and partly down to me.  I work at a vet's and all the pets that come through the door are valuable, but I have a particular love of dogs - and a serious case of labradoration! Note the handsome black Labrador featured above. My in house model.

The little fellow above is called Manxy. He and his friend Puff, live on Skomer - one of the seabird islands off the South Westerly tip of Pembrokeshire.
